The Introduction
A local financial organization’s Learning and Development Department Manager reached out for solution support the results of which were a few learning and marketing solutions: One “Day One” external Sales Department “New Hire On-boarding” program as well as credit card product knowledge, merchandising and sales training solutions.
The assignment was for one Instructional Designer to work independently to conduct a needs analysis, assemble client content and design specific artifacts for three separate trainings.
A small challenge was collaborating with an internal learning leader who wasn’t available on a consistent basis, however various communication strategies were utilized to minimize any potential ramifications.
Collaborating with the in-house team wasn’t impacted to any degree, as the Instructional Designer was experienced in providing “cradle to grave” services.
A “Day One” On-boarding program was migrated from Instrutor-led to eLearning and updated with various interactivities and videos. Also, credit card product knowledge, merchandising and sales training was integrated into the solutions in additional Modules.
The key points of the collaboration included gaining additional experienced in instructor-led training migrations, collabrating with a Learning Leader on a large-scope project (On-boarding, Sales, Merchandising and Product Knowledge), adding videos to learning content and meeting client expectations once again.
