The ADDIE model is a great tool for instructional designers to use when planning projects. It helps you to think about the different aspects of your project, including the audience, objectives and resources, and how those things will be implemented. The ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) is a project planning method that helps you take an idea and turn it into a plan that you can use to implement on a larger scale. The purpose of this model is to create an instructional design process that will help you achieve your goals with minimal risk and waste.The ADDIE model is a project management process that helps you plan, design, develop, and evaluate your projects.

Here’s how it works:

NEEDS ANALYSIS: Identify the problem. This step involves analyzing what’s currently happening in your business and why. By identifing any problems and opportunities as well as the resources available we're able to plan to solve and bridge the gaps.

DESIGN: Design a solution to address business pains. This step involves creating an action plan i.e. storyboards (as seen in the header image) based on the analysis to determine how to use those resources to reach desired outcomes.

DEVELOPMENT: Develop the solution according to the design specifications. In this step, all of the activities are developed, the audio and video produced and all of the learner engagement is developed.

IMPLEMENTATION: Upload, implement aka test the solution in real-world conditions. This step involves implementing your plan and making sure it’s working effectively by measuring its success or failure against agreed-upon benchmarks (e.g., cost savings).

EVALUATION: Determine ROI by analyzing back-end analytics. In this step, you analyze whether or not the implementation has been successful based on predetermined criteria such as cost savings or increased sales volume over time.
